Robert L01, Dec 2025I was in a Normandy tour group with 4 family members on 1 December 2025. Pascal was our guide. The tour was superb. Pascal’s depth of knowledge, concern for our comfort and safety, and overall execution of the tour could not have been better. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and now have a much greater appreciation for this most significant historical event. Thank you.

Trevor 25, Oct 2025Our tour guide was Matt (the Englishman) on the half day tour. He was outstanding. There are tour guides who take you around and provide rote facts about what you’re seeing and then there are guides like Matt who clearly care deeply about the historical context and the stories of the people who were there and participated in the events that happened there. He made it a great experience, was friendly and funny, and had great stories to tell on the trips between locations. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who has any interest whatsoever in D-Day history! Thanks Matt!
5
Lee20, Oct 2025My father really enjoyed this tour. He found the guide passionate, knowledgeable and friendly. He has some mobility challenges and the guide was incredibly understanding and accommodating. I am very grateful for the experience that this tour operator gave to my dad.
5
Luke18, Oct 2025Luana was a fantastic tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about not only the WWII/D-Day subjects but also about surrounding areas and Bayeux. The half day tour was perfect for our itinerary and we were very happy with how it went.
The company was also very helpful in recommending solutions for a luggage storage issue that my partner and I had, which was completely unrelated to our tour and our business with Ophorus.
I highly recommend!!
5
Kerry03, Oct 2025We did the 4hour tour to Omaha beach with Pascal. He was excellent, very knowledgeable, I am a bit of a ww2 buff but he told us things I never knew. I would highly recommend this tour as very interesting and informative but not to long. Wish we could of recorded the commentary and listened to it again. Put on your comfy shoes
5
Amy23, Sep 2025If I could give Pascal 10 stars I would. From the moment he started talking I knew I liked him and his knowledge of WWII is astounding. He explained what happened after WWI to cause WWII which made so much sense. I've always been somewhat intimidated by the history but it really came together. This tour is a must do.
5
Nancy S15, Sep 2025Victor was AMAZING! He was so knowledgeable about D-day and the Bayeux area! Such a wonderful young man and truly enjoyed our tour with him!
5
Carolina06, Sep 2025Maggie was a superb guide! We couldn’t have asked for a better person. She was constantly relaying historical information along the way. Her details of the war and people were truly exceptional. We were amazed with her driving on the small town roads. Thank you for a memorable time, we will never forget this trip!
5
Roy V16, Jul 2025We had a wonderful day at the Omaha beach and the American cemetery thanks to our tour guide! She knew a lot about all the tiny details and spoke with much enthusiasm about a topic she obviously loves. Would recommend booking a tour for the Normandy beaches with Ophorus!
5
Charles G02, Jul 2025We went on the half day tour to Omaha beach with Pascal as our guide today. He was very interesting and engaged with us with his knowledge and humor. You tell when someone enjoys what he does. I will be taking other tours! Thank you!
5
David27, Jun 2025My wife, Rachel, and I joined you for a memorable half-day D-Day tour last week. The tour was packed with venues and information that we will remember for many years to come, thanks to your guiding and delivery.
5
Noelle C12, Jun 2025Our family of four joined the afternoon tour last Thursday, June 12th. Our tour guide Pascal was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and great at story telling. He brought photos, pictures, and key WW2 speech scripts to the tour to show us. Even my two teenagers were impressed by Pascal. We first visited Pointe Du Hoc, American Cemetery, and Omaha Beach. The sequence was intended for us to observe the American Flag lowering ceremony at 4 pm. It was moving to watch. This tour was the best tour we had during our one-week Europe trip.
5
Kathryn L30, May 2025UNBELIEVABLE DAY! So fantastic. We ended up not having the other half of our party show up, so it was just us and our guide and it was so personable and fantastic. At the end of our 10 day trip we wnet around and said our favorite day, and we ALL said this day! I could not reccomend this tour more!!
5
Janet J19, May 2025Our guide’s knowledge was unsurpassed! She made us aware of so many details that
provided a much clearer picture of the sacrifices made by so many, giving us new
perspective on this truly epic turning point in the war. Wonderful tour.
5
Brenda P18, Mar 2025Our guide made the tour. He was fantastic. He was engaging and knowledgeable. My 19 and 17 year old sons loved him and were hooked from the first minutes of the tour. We learned to see DDay and all of the history in a far more nuanced way than what we had understood prior to the tour. The human aspect stories that deepened the historical accounts made it all the more fascinating. My kids still haven’t stopped talking about it.
5
Garry R 07, Mar 2025Matt was the most knowledgeable and personable guide I’ve ever had! He colored his talks with amazing enthusiasm and gave us all a whole new perspective on D-Day and what it means to have real American heroes. We shall never forget us.
Thank you. This tour was the highlight of my 3rd trip to France.
5
José M10, Feb 2025We just ended our tour with Matt and we are thrilled. We took this tour because we were very interested in the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy. But his explanation highly exceeded our expectations. He made it sound like a thriller, gradually gathering momentum while speaking about the differences between the Germans and the Allies. And then actually visiting the places where the landing took place... the bunkers, the German defending positions, the actual facts about the landing and the soldiers.. just incredible and absolutely moving!
5
Jack P04, Feb 2025Matt was a wonderful guide! Finding the meeting point was easy and the car was very nice and clean. He was so knowledgeable and did a wonderful job at honoring those who gave their life. I learned so much on this tour and I’m so glad we had this experience!
5
Barbara B03, Feb 2025Absolutely one of the best tours ever. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history. He gave us some insight and allowed us to see history from different points of view. Would very highly recommend this tour.
5
Becca R31, Jan 2025Matt was an EXCELLENT, and I mean top of the line guide. He knows his stuff, and even shared many facts and perspectives that I was not personally knowledgeable on. I’m serious, this guy is probably the best guide I have ever had and I am traveling CONSTANTLY. It’s incredible how he explains what was going on historically before and during WW2, and provides context for some of the storylines that aren’t exactly published in books or general public knowledge. He has even gone to the extreme of interviewing survivors and local people who have directly experienced WW2 and German occupation. Talk about dedication to your craft. The most important thing about this tour (stated by Matt) is everyone, especially every American, should make it their personal mission to learn about these stories and history. He is right- the first hand accounts are few and far between, and it is actually important we learn our own history. You cannot truly learn this without an experience like this. THANKS MATT!
5
Emily M02, Dec 2024Tour was exceptional. Matt was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. Highly recommend his tour for anyone visiting these sites.
5
Roberto R24, Nov 2024My adult son and I booked the half day, D-Day tour. We were excited about the tour ahead of time and anticipated that it would be both educational and emotional. The experience FAR exceeded both our expectations. From the minute we met our tour guide Matt, we were masterfully taken on an educational journey. Matt told us at the beginning he was going to talk to us for four hours straight and he kept his promise, sharing the history of the Liberation from all sides, American, British, French and of course German. Matt was highly attentive to the needs of each guest and found time to interact individually with all of us. It made for a very special trip. Upon conclusion of the tour Matt shared advice on where we should go to lunch, other D Day spots to visit as well as additional local points of interest. All in all a 10 out of 10!

informative and very kind.
5
Cheryl C30, May 2024John, our tour guide was excellent. John helped to bring the entire D Day experience to life for us. He was knowledgeable, thorough, informative, and a great storyteller. The complex issues involved in the landings at D Day were made very clear, and John did a fantastic job explaining all of the artifacts left on the site. We also saw the American cemetery with its endless rows of crosses and stars with the young American soldiers killed that day to save their country. We were there for taps and the lowering of the flag. Very moving. A day not to be forgotten. Thank you, John.
5
Graham25, May 2024John was very knowledgeable, and communicated well. The tour was fantastic and covered
all the main highlights. John knew some small details that might not get shared on a self
guided tour.
5
Sandra25, May 2024Details provided by John, our guide, throughout tour. Helped to understand exact events of
the day. Gave a complete picture of what happened and when.
4
Dale G20, May 2024Despite a 30 minute delay in pick up due to van problems we enjoyed our D- Day tour with Chloe very much. She was knowledgeable, sweet, delightful. As adult children of fathers who fought in WW2 we were very touched to see the landing beaches, bunkers, and monuments. In addition the American Cemetery was heartbreaking but as good a statement one might make on the tragedy of war. We had a nice small group who bonded and many were able to add information to the history enlivening the experience.
5
Nancy17, May 2024John was a great tour guide! Learned a lot. Pointe do Hoc was fascinating. Wish I would
have taken the full day tour
5
Leslie Dibiase16, May 2024Mael was an excellent guide! We did the 4 hour (half day) tour to Pont du hac, Omaha beach, and American soldier cemetery and it was the highlight of my entire trip to Paris. Mael was so knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions and told stories that really showed his passion for history. He also told captivating stories of his grandmother’s experience during the war and even other history pertaining to the war that is not commonly shared. I will definitely be coming back here again to bring my 13 year old WWII buff son.
5
Patricia14, May 2024All…our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared many great details about DDay,
beaches, bunkers, etc. He had pictures to show us as well.
5
Allison S07, May 2024My 21-year-old son and I had a great time on this tour. We learned a lot and had a excellent
experience with our tour guide and the rest of the group as we visited sites.
5
Billie G05, May 2024Chloe was our tour guide for the half day D-Day tour! She shared her love for the history of D-Day and France with us and two other couples. Very insightful trip. Gave us a vivid tour through the German bunkers and pillboxes at Pont-du-Hoc, then took us to Omaha Beach … one of two US landing sites on D-Day. Final stop was the site of the US Cemetery. Over 9000 US casualties on June 6, 1944. The future of keeping history alive will soon depend on young guides like Chloe! As a result, we will be more engaged in learning much more about WWII military history. Thank you Chloe!
5
Karen G05, May 2024Our guide John was very informative and it was a pleasure to listen to his stories as well as the many facts he shared with us. The trip was perfect - just long enough at each stop to take in the history and the emotions of what happened there 80 years ago. We visited the main spots of the battle of Normandy and saw so much. It is definitely worth the time if you are in the area.
5
Kathleen05, May 2024Our guide was wonderful. He shared history throughout our drive to each site as well. Very accommodating and knowledgeable.
I highly recommend the tour.
5

much. Super thanks for a fun and educational outing!
5
Melissa28, Apr 2024We had such a great time with Matt on the Half-day tour to Pont du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery. He's so knowledgeable and passionate about his work and told us about some of the research and interviews he's done as well as the stories that he's gained from the many veterans he's had the honor to host. The tour is very well organized, and you hit the main sites and learn a lot on the way to and from the area. Highly recommend the half day tour if you have only a day in Bayeux and want to enjoy the day trip and the town.
5
Bob & Leatrice French 17, Apr 2024Killian was an exceptional guide. His knowledge about the sites was so extensive. He was very attentive & gracious throughout the tour. You are fortunate to have him working for you.

Nancy B05, Feb 2024Our tour guide was Matt. He was so informative, we learned so much history about D Day as well as the days following the initial invasion. His knowledge and expertise was amazing. We visited la Pointe du Hoc, Omaha beach and the American cemetery. Those three stops were perfect for a half day tour. Visiting the American cemetery is such a somber experience. I highly recommend this tour and our guide Matt was exceptional!
5

Jane W13, Dec 2023This tour could not have been better. Matt - our tour guide - had clearly done extensive research on the history of D-Day and the region and was able to bring events to life through his story telling. He added lots of colour and context to events that we would never have received from a self tour or museum visit. We had members of our group aged from early teens to seniors and everyone loved the tour. Highly recommend!!

Julie K08, Nov 2023We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with our guide Matt, who did a great job sharing the
background of DDay and the Normandy campaign. Even with the American Cemetery
closed due to storm damage, it was meaningful experience.
5
Edwin06, Nov 2023Matt was onze gids voor deze tour. In één woord geweldig! Wat een prachtige ervaringen heeft hij mogen beleven in al zijn rondleidingen en de manier waarop hij dit met ons heeft gedeeld was alsof we er zelf ook bij zijn geweest. Zeer aan te bevelen deze tour
5
Allison J05, Nov 2023A few things were incredible about this tour:
- the sites themselves
- the stories and feelings
- the town we started the tour in
… and most importantly: the tour guide, Matt
I don’t think I’ve ever had a tour guide as knowledgeable, as funny, as clearly passionate about the history and stories and people, and as enjoyable as Matt.
I would recommend everyone who comes to Normandy gets a tour from Matt. He tells such great stories, can answer any question, really makes you think about the history, embraces the somber, and is just all around fantastic.
The van was really nice and it didn’t feel like a big tour experience with a coach bus.
I really think this is a must do for everyone who visits France.
5
Linda K05, Nov 2023Our tour guide was Matt Turner, and he was absolutely fantastic. He is so knowledgeable, integrating information he has learned from an array of sources, including many conversations with war veterans over the years. He is passionate about telling and preserving the memory of our veterans with pride, patriotism and humor. He was so engaging and addressed the needs of our group of 6 with such kindness and respect. We had never been to Normandy or the D-Day beaches/American Cemetary and learned more than we ever imagined. It was a well-planned excursion that we would highly recommend to all. It's truly an experience all Americans should partake in as well as all those interested in world history. Thank you Matt!
5
Laurie04, Nov 2023Matt was an excellent tour guide! Could not have asked for a better guide. He was so
knowledgeable about D-Day and he knew so many things we had never heard of before. I
highly recommend him as a tour guide!
5

Marcus31, Oct 2023Wonderful, sobering tour of a few D-day sites. We went to Pointe Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the U.S. Cemetary.
Our guide Valentine was highly knowledgeable. He spoke very good English with a strong French accent which made some words difficult to understand but he was very accommodating to explain when needed.
4
Marii Wen31, Oct 2023
5
Redskin29, Oct 2023The host was very sincere and with good breadth. We had bad weather, but he soldiered
through! It was good as we discussed ideas and thoughts on some of the facts and
misperceptions (from movies)
4
Sunda K27, Oct 2023The American cemetery was profoundly moving experience. Every American should pay
tribute to these brave men who sacrificed their lives.
5
Sophie23, Oct 2023The tour guide painted a very good picture of all sides of the war and using actual peoples accounts of what it was like living in France during D Day was very powerful. Janet23, Oct 2023Best tour we took on our vacation to France. Our guide, Matt, is one of the most passionate and knowledgeable guides we have ever had on a tour. Our day to Omaha beach was so cold and rainy but it certainly provided a perspective on what the men went through while fighting for us.
5
J Germany21, Oct 2023The tour was very informative and our guide Valentino did an excellent job!
5
Marisa18, Oct 2023The tour was well balanced, visiting key historical sites with a fantastic guide telling more than the obvious, with some personal experience with veterans and people who lived in the villages during the war.
5
Harry18, Oct 2023
5
Robert Mosley17, Oct 2023The tour was excellent! The stops were well chosen and time at each location allowed time for an understanding of their importance. We never felt rushed. The time at the American cemetary was what I'd hoped. We saw the flags lower as taps was played. Everyone in the park stopped. Many covered their hearts, others saluted. As a vet, I was deeply moved. There was time for quiet reflection. The guide was outstanding. He did not present a cinema/history script, but a remarkable, human story that bought me closer to the young men resting under the crosses.

Pedro D13, Oct 2023Our guide, Valentine, was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable regarding the history of Normandy and WWII, it made the tour so much better. I had visited Normandy in the past, but this tour gave me so much more information and was a significantly better experience. He was so interactive and involved and answered all of our questions throughout the tour. The half day was great to go to three different places with a lot of history behind them. Our guide also had photos he showed us at each site. Highly recommend!

Sarah B Eggen09, Oct 2023Our tour guide on our 1/2 day tour, Matt Turner, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, humble and thoughtful to the historical fact, engaged and easy to understand…. And funny!
We couldn’t have had a better tour guide
4
Donelle09, Oct 2023Valentin was very knowledgeable, and I appreciated the historical information and wish to
see more! A full day would be better with all the museums and beaches to see and
information to read at each site. Hi archealogical background was interesting, too!
5
Z5037Q06, Oct 2023John was our guide. Very good tour! Learned a lot.
Explained and answered all our questions. Went timely
Would recommend this tour.

Pollym04, Oct 2023Small group of 8 in a comfortable minivan.
Our Guide, Matt, was a great Historian and Raconteur. A wonderful learning experience told in an attention-demanding and respectful manner.
The cites are enthralling in themselves but Matt’s knowledge and obvious joy in sharing “the story” enhanced the experience tenfold.

William03, Oct 2023Seeing the actual beaches and having our guide give us the details of June 6 1944. Our
guide was great! He provided background as well details on the actual battlefield. If you
only have a few hours, get a guided tour.
5
Thomas02, Oct 2023Our Half Day D Day tour with guide, Matt, went FAR beyond our expectations. When you
have a guide who is both passionate and exceptionally knowledgeable about the subject
matter...well, it doesn't get any better than that.
5
John M01, Oct 2023Matthew, our guide was outstanding to say the least. A more knowledgeable Chap on the subject of D Day, I haven't met yet. His perspective on what life was like for both the Allies and Germans was very informative and slightly different then you normally hear on these tours. I highly recommend him and his company.
5
Berry V29, Sep 2023The guide, Matt, was wonderful and enhanced the experience immeasurably. I would
recommend him for any Normandy D-Day excursions. In fact, we only had a half-day
excursion and wish we had been with Matt the whole day.

Matt29, Sep 2023Matt was an amazing tour guide, a great story teller that paints a clear picture of the tour. He was so interactive with my kids and kept their attention the whole time. He quizzed the kids after and they got all his questions right. 4 hours was a perfect amount of time also! I will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a tour.

Loren Campbell16, Sep 2023Me, my mum and dad visited Normandy to see all the D-Day sites, as it was on my dad’s bucket list. We had Matt Turner as our guide for the American sector - he was absolutely amazing. He was clearly so passionate about the topic, so friendly and charismatic. Even had us welling up at parts when he told the story of the Omaha landings. He absolutely made our trip! Whatever he’s getting paid is not enough, can’t recommend him as a guide enough!

5

L3027E08, Sep 2023We had an outstanding tour with Matt on our half day tour of D Day sites. I run a historical society and am very familiar with how difficult his job is. He was beyond personable and told an incredibly complicated story in a delicately woven web that was was compelling, balanced, compassionate and informative at the same time. If you have the chance to take Matt’s tour, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for giving us this experience!
5
Karen R08, Sep 2023Matt is a phenomenal tour guide. We aren't big fans of tours, but it would have been a terrible mistake to have missed Matt's narrative. Facts, details of soldiers' stories carried immense importance to our understanding and appreciation of D day events. Thank you so much Matt!
5
Daniel R07, Sep 2023Valentine did an excellent job leading this tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and organized. Obviously, DDay is a massive subject that touched so many lives, and Valentine was able to walk us through the specifics while at the same time give us an overall feeling and impression of how awful and challenging that day must have been. Valentine took questions without hesitation and due to his great intelligence was able to respond quickly and succinctly. Logistically, he navigated the sea of tourists and traffic brilliantly and was able to make us feel like we were the only ones there. He also helped us see the events of that day from various viewpoints - American, British, French, Canadian and German - which I feel was critical for trying to understand DDay. On a personal level, he also helped me locate the grave a close friend's brother which was very moving not only to me but to my parents who weren't even there. I think this tour was well worth the money and time. I learned a great deal. I will remember it forever. Thank you, Valentine!!
5
Genevieve K.06, Sep 2023John was an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable and able to paint scenes that was equally horrific and fascinating, giving us detail descriptions of the build up to the biggest moment in history

He was a wealth of knowledge.
5
Sydney26, Aug 2023Excellent tour that provides a comprehensive and thorough overview of D-Day with stops at meaningful sites. Our guide gave us excellent historic background and was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We appreciated the opportunities to explore the sites on our own for parts of the tour as well. Highly recommend!
5
Luis R21, Aug 2023Matt was the best tour guide I’ve ever had around the globe. Incredibly knowledgeable and
passionate about D-day. Gave us a perspective on the war we don’t really consider as
American. Highly recommend to anyone.
5
114zackz20, Aug 2023We loved our half day tour with Matt! In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable about WWII and D-Day, he was enthusiastic, energetic, and super engaging. We spent the perfect amount of time at each stop and really felt that we got a comprehensive tour of iconic D-Day sites. Even though it is a “group” tour, we were only sharing our guide/van with one other family, so it felt very intimate and personal. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Normandy!
5
Alexender20, Aug 2023Matt leaded the tour and it was so informative to listen to his historical information and passion on each site. I would always hire him and this tour again. It was a fantastic tour with lots of beautiful views places and deep emotions. He did a brilliant job. Thanks for the tour and experience.
5
John19, Aug 2023Absolutely fantastic. The guide had perfect English, was extremely friendly and had a huge knowledge and passion for his subject. The other people on the tour were fantastic too which was a huge help as I was travelling alone. John
5
H1481AY16, Aug 2023We toured with Matt on a half-day tour on August 10. Matt did an amazing job and was a masterful storyteller. He brought the tour to life and gave us so many important facts. The cemetery is a sacred place. Omaha Beach and Pont Du Hoc are must sees. I would highly encourage you to book with Matt and you will not be disappointed. We should have done a full day tour.
5
Bridget15, Aug 2023What an excellent tour of the D Day sites!
Matt, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate retelling this very important part of history. Our teenage son considered it the highlight of the holiday. It was also the small touches that made the tour special - Matt knew when to relay the stories and when to give us time to absorb the atmosphere - to try to imagine what it must have been like for both sides under those conditions.
A big thank you to Matt for helping us to reflect on the past and to bring history to life.
5
Reid R12, Aug 2023Matt our guide was incredible. Knowledgeable and funny, he made the tour! We pulled right
into the front of the parking lots, he took us right in the sights. Matt knew the people working
the sites and that made a big difference. Van was clean and nice.
5
Yvan A11, Aug 2023Magnifique expérience. Le guide Matt est parfait et est un grand connaisseur passionné
d’histoire. Il a su gardé en haleine le groupe avec humour.

Laurie M08, Aug 2023Was very happy to finally make it to Normandy. Unfortunately we were just very disappointed with our tour guide. He never introduced himself ( I still don't know his name) nor did he try and engage with anyone on the tour, ask where we were from, our names, etc. He was very mechanical. He drove us to all the spots listed on the tour, but then we were on our own once we got to the destination. We saw other tour guides actually showing and talking about the sites you were at and taking their people around. We actually started following another tour because their guide was so awesome. I would not recommend this tour. Find another
5
Megan04, Aug 2023I wanted a full day, tween wanted a half day. Tween won. We arrived at van 2 min late having gotten lost between bayeux twisty streets and phone gps (which was having seizures). . Car was illegally parked and wasn’t sure I could find it again. Did I mention it was raining sideways?
With that setting, John our guide did a brilliant job painting the past into an image we could see on Omaha beach. Even tween was interested. I sacrificed the cemetery visitor center for the flag lowering ceremony but honestly wish I had spent more time at the center. It really was a great tour especially if you’re time/attention span pressed. Id go back for a full day in a heartbeat.
And we found our car again with no parking ticket! Winner!
4
Saul R26, Jul 2023John, our guide, was really knowledgeable about the D-Day sites and the history. He shared
that information and I liked the combination of sites which we visited.
5
Olivia C25, Jul 2023The landscape is beautiful and has been preserved to exhibit a very genuine sentiment of honor for the history that was made and lives lost. The highlight was our guide Matt Turner. He could not have been more professional, authentic or passionate about his work. He has dedicated his life to a life long learning and expertise. Fabulous experience
5

5
Billy A16, Jul 2023Our tour guide Steven was very good. He was knowledgable, nice and was very well experienced giving tours. The sites were beautiful and the half day dour was all we needed as we were able to see Omaha Beach, Point du Hoc, and of course the cemetary to finish. It was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend for anyone going to the Normandy area. It was easy pickup and easy drop off.

5
Michael26, Jun 2023Matt was an excellent guide! His knowledge of the sites, their context to the greater Normandy invasion, and his ability to present the details in a storytelling fashion made it an enjoyable and moving experience. 5 STARS!
5
Maritona Valencia23, Jun 2023The van ride from Bayeux to the locations was comfortable. Our tour group was at the limit (8) and we had plenty of seat space. If you have to use the WC find one at a cafe/restaurant before going to the meeting place. The WC by the meeting place is NASTY!!
5
Luis22, Jun 2023Charles did an outstanding job! He is extremely knowledgeable about the war and can answer almost any question. Charles is also very accommodating and fluent in four languages.
5
by Neill (United States)19, Jun 2023Matt Turner is the best tour guide I've ever had. My wife and mother who were on the tour agree with this 100%. He was outstanding in every way. If you book this tour, make sure you get Matt.
5
Robert Young10, Jun 2023Matt is obviously a very conscientious student and guide regarding WW II in general and the D Day Invasion specifically. We learned and experienced much more than a 4 hour tour would indicate. Merci.

Erin_K07, Jun 2023Moving Experience
It was a memorable and moving experience. Our guide John was excellent; very informative and helpful in making sure we saw all of the important sights in the short amount of time we had. Perfect tour if you only have limited time available in the Normandy area.
5

The private ceremony to honor my granduncle and share his story and memory with my

Thank you Matt!
5

ridiculous.
5
Birender Singh Dhanoa31, May 2023It was a spur of the moment decision to book with Orophus using GetYourGuide online. Turned out to be a fortuitous one. The four hours tour was worth it in every way. We had a very knowledgeable guide in John and he answered all questions while giving the group plenty of information and time to absorb the places for the US D Day landings. All in all a good experience.
5
Taylor31, May 2023Matt Turner is THE guide to have during your d-day tour. Without Matt our tour would have been memorable and nice. With Matt our tour was exciting, funny, memorable, informative, and one of our favorite days on the trip. When I say Matt made the tour I mean Matt MADE the tour. -Sam I can’t imagine doing this tour with anyone other than Matt as our guide. There are no words to describe how knowledgeable and respectful he is of D Day and all that comes with visiting the sites. Literally the stories came alive through his deep care and understanding and constant research. Matt is more than a guide, he’s an expert. -Taylor

sarah breton21, Mar 2023We took the afternoon trip from Bagneux with Steven. Steven was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The afternoon was well balanced between driving, listening to Steven but also free walking around moments. As a French citizen, Steven's explanations and visual materials truly gave a new depth to the visits, not only on a touristic point of view but also for remembrance duty. Merci beaucoup Steven !
5
N/A05, Mar 2023Stephen was great! It was a wonderful and informative tour, and Stephen patiently answered all our questions. Highly recommend this! Wish we'd more time to visit additional museums and sites, but an afternoon is all we had, and this was a great tour.
5
Juliet Macdonald30, Jan 2023I only had time for a half day tour as my time in France was extremely limited. This tour was exactly what I needed. I was able to go to Point du Hoc, Omaha Beach and one of the American cemeteries. The guide, Steve, took us back in time and gave us many little anecdotes that I had never heard. It was very moving to be there and this tour was just what I was looking for. I highly recommend for people who don’t have much time but who still want to pay their respects and experience as much of Normandy as possible.

Stephan was an awesome guide and was very flexible with stopping whenever we found a bunker interesting AND still got us to the cemetery well in time for taps. Definitely worth doing to enjoy this historical landmark to the fullest. SUGGESTION: I personally love small stories so maybe including more throughout the tour would make it even more breathtaking and personal. Overall an amazing trip by an amazing guide!
