Immerse Yourself in Burgundy: Full-Day Wine Lover's Journey from Dijon
Embark on an unforgettable full-day wine adventure through the heart of Burgundy. Departing from Dijon at 9 AM, you’ll travel through the renowned wine regions of Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, enjoying three exceptional guided wine tasting experiences.
Morning: Discover Côte de Nuits & Pinot Noir
Your day begins with a scenic drive through the picturesque Burgundy countryside along the Route des Grands Crus, the iconic wine road that links Dijon to Beaune and Santenay. Capture the essence of the region with photo stops amidst rolling vineyards, stone walls, and historic villages that form part of the UNESCO-listed Climats de Bourgogne.
Around 10 AM, arrive at your first winery in the prestigious Côte de Nuits area. Here, you’ll enjoy a captivating one-hour tasting, discovering the power, structure, and complexity of Burgundy Pinot Noir. Learn how terroir, appellation level, and vintage shape the style of these world-famous red wines.
Late Morning: Côte de Beaune & Chardonnay in Beaune
Continue south towards the charming town of Beaune, often considered the wine capital of Burgundy and the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Around 11 AM, your second one-hour tasting introduces you to the elegance and finesse of Côte de Beaune Chardonnay and selected reds.
After your tasting, enjoy a leisurely stroll through Beaune’s historic center. Admire the architecture around Place Carnot and the exterior of the iconic Hospices de Beaune (Hôtel-Dieu), one of Burgundy’s most emblematic landmarks (entrance not included). You’ll then have free time for lunch, with many opportunities to savor local cuisine and regional specialties in Beaune’s restaurants and wine bars.
Afternoon: Meursault & Southern Côte de Beaune
In the afternoon, depart for the southern part of the Côte de Beaune, following the renowned Route des Grands Crus past vineyards and villages such as Pommard, Volnay, or Puligny-Montrachet, depending on routing and winery availability.
Around 3 PM, you’ll be welcomed at a third winery near Meursault for a delightful one-hour tasting. Discover the subtle nuances of Meursault’s renowned white Burgundy and explore how Chardonnay expresses itself across different plots and appellations in the Côte de Beaune. This final tasting helps you compare styles tasted throughout the day and deepen your understanding of Burgundy’s terroir.
Return to Dijon
As the day draws to a close, relax on the scenic drive back to Dijon, arriving around 5 PM. This full-day tour is the ultimate experience for wine enthusiasts, offering a comprehensive introduction to Burgundy’s two most prestigious wine regions, Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.
Whether you are a seasoned wine connoisseur or simply seeking a first taste of Burgundy, this small-group journey provides a clear, engaging overview of the region’s vineyards, appellations, and winemaking traditions.

This was a really fantastic tour. Our guide, Adam, was so passionate and knowledgeable about both the wines and the region. He also conveyed the history of the region going back over a thousand years to the beginning of the winemaking industry there. We got to taste around 15 different wines (reds, whites and sparkling) at three different wineries. We are not at all wine aficionados but we really enjoyed the whole day and would highly recommend this to anyone, whether they have a lot of experience with wine or are just getting started on their wine journey.

We had the most amazing day out with Valentin! We learned so much about the region from his warm and chatty style and the wines we tasted were superb. A really lovely day out in Burgundy and with a great group, a lovely lunch break in Beaune and so many lovely places to stop and take photos!

A very well organized trip with an outgoing, pleasant and above all well prepared guide, Valentin. Air conditioned minivan with spare umbrellas which served well during the unexpected rain shower. We visited 3 wineries with various other stops on the way such as the Cross at Romanee Conti and various other panoramic sites.
The tour was so well planned and thought out. We visited highly regarded vineyards and winemakers in burgundy. Adam our guide was so conversational and coached us thru tastings and French wine knowledge. We had the best time, and even tasted Grand Cru!

An excellent full day wine tour from Dijon with our guide Valentin! The day was very well organised and his knowledge was exceptional. Throughout the day Valentin told us about the region, the wines and added context with his comprehensive knowledge of the history of Burgundy - all in outstanding English! He was easy company and clearly had good contacts within the wineries we visited. We would definitely recommend !
