      We took a tour from Strasbourg through Freiburg and the Black Forest. Eight of us (traveling together) were driven in a comfortable van by our guide Pauline, who was equipped with a microphone so we could all hear her comments. Her driving was very safe and we always felt secure. As a matter of fact, when we were on the autobahn she took the microphone off so she could concentrate on the road. As a guide, she was fantastic; knowledgeable, adjusting the pace to fit our needs, humorous, and friendly. This was our fourth guided tour on our 18 day trip and it was by far the best. She took us on a walking tour of Freiburg and then in the Black Forest, we stopped at wineries and panoramic views of the vines throughout the valley. Opportunities to walk through villages was offered while she drove the non-walkers on a scenic tour.
