      Rodolphe was absolutely wonderful. His humor, knowledge and adaptability was perfect for our group. All 8 of us complemented him many times and the talk at the dinner table was about how much we all enjoyed the day.

      Spent an interesting day at Lourdes with our guide. There was just the two of us and our guide. Picked us up at an agreed spot, but dropped us back to our hotel. Which was appreciated. Which was appreciated. Found this company online (Ophorus) via tripadvisor, they have a small selection of day trips from Toulouse. Our guide was casual, and flexible. If we wanted to change the schedule, or wanted to hang around parts of Lourdes longer than planned he was ok with that.

      This was one of the highlights of our trip. Pierrick, our tour guide, was absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable of all the historic and religious highlights of the area. He was knowledgeable of all the historic and religious highlights of the area. Lourdes is located in a valley at the base of the Pyrenees and it very picturesque.

      We saw the grotto and drank the water from the area where you can fill your bottles to take home. The water was cold and refreshing as the spring is sourced from the mountain snow melt. This was a very holy and spiritual place. Pierrick took us to buy bottles to fill and to a fantastic Italian cafe for lunch.

      After lunch we continued to the Boly Mill where St. Bernadette lived the first ten years of her life. We even had time to visit Chateau Fort at the top of the city which is steeped in history dating back to Charlemagne. The view is spectacular. During the drive to and from Lourdes, Pierrick kept us happy and amused. This was a marvelous day.
