      We took a guided Medoc wine tour in a minivan with only 2 other people. Our guide, Rodolphe was absolutely wonderful. Great driver, very personable and funny. He had actually worked at one of the vineyards we went to so was as knowledgeable as the guides there. He kept up a running conversation while driving and stopping at several chateaus for us to take pictures. We have another tour for tomorrow and are disappointed that he is off tomorrow. Would definitely ask for him if we booked there again.

      Ms Lea is an amazing lady . Giving us the vast of info.of Medoc Especially I was interested in the history of Medoc classification from napoleon. And she wasn’t aggressive to sell the wines !! So we were very relaxing the tasting for a while. We spent a great time with her for 4hours Could come back to Bordeaux,we will designate her absolutely. So pls keep up your beautiful job Thanks a lot.

      We very much enjoyed our half day Medoc wine tour. Anne was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and was happy to answer all our questions and provide lots of tips on the best places to visit in Bordeaux. We had a very enjoyable afternoon visiting the vineyards with her.

      Excellent tour, just what I expected. The wineries were higher quality and totally worth the price of the trip. The guide was outstanding, he had vast knowledge of the region, but also the surrounding area. He was enthusiastic and enjoyed talking with us. The representatives at each winery were very informative The was a small tour (< 8 people) which made it much more personal. We had great tastings and a look at the property and wine making process.

      We had a very comfortable vito bus and managed to be within the estimated time despite some traffic delays. The guide Mirella was really friendly and fun to spend the afternoon with. She gave us context before each vineyard and explained a whole lot of details about the wine region and Bordeaux culture. We stopped at two vineyards and got a great tour on each with wine tastings of 4 wines. It was very interesting and were able to ask any questions and take pictures of whatever we liked.

      First, let me start with saying the only thing I would change about this trip is that I wish I had taken the full day tour instead of the half day. Our guide, Helen, was an absolute delight and certainly the reason we had such a great time. Helen is funny and knowledgeable and made the time in route fly by. This is a great way to learn about the region and its wines. Highly recommend and cross your fingers that Helen is your guide!

      Mirella was super accommodating to us. Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen train delay, we were late to the tour. However, despite the fact we were late, she kept in communication with us and even waited for us at our first stop to make sure we were integrated into our tour From then on, the wine tour was excellent! The combination of showing us unique chateaus and sampling excellent wines makes for an unforgettable experience! I definitely recommend this tour for all wine lovers out there! You will not regret it

      We had a wonderful day and experience with Helene in Margaux! She was very knowledgeable and charming. She gave us a very good introduction to the history of wine in the region. We got to visit two beautiful wineyards and see the fantastic scenery of the Medoc region. 5 out of 5 stars from us and we would recommend to everyone who visits Bordeaux!

      Fantastic tour of the Medoc with our amazing wine tsar Laetitia! She was so knowledgeable and a bit of craic too - brilliant afternoon including an unscheduled stop at a boulangerie and a drive by of Chateuax Margaux. The two vineyards that we visited were well chosen and the guides there very professional. Last year we went to Saint Emillion and choose Ophorus again this year for our return trip to Bordeaux. Highly recommend.

      Booked this trip for 6 adults. Information from Ophorus was prompt & clear. Met our guide Mariela at designated place and on time. On the drive Mariela told us about the area and the 2 vineyards we were visiting. She was informative & had a good sense of humour. At both vineyards the hosts gave us a good history and the chance to try several wines. It was an excellent afternoon & we learnt so much about the Bordeaux area. Well worth visiting.

      This tour is amazing! Andrew was the best driver and guide. He was friendly, professional, funny, and allowed for an absolute great half day tour! The first winery was magnificent. We learned so much about wine production. The wines were also delicious. The second winery was just a tasting. The wines were equally as delicious! The Medoc region was a nice 45/50 minute drive from the center of Bordeaux. We loved this tour. * As an American, this is not the boozy wine tour we are used to in the states. It is simply a tasting. FYI if you are expecting to be able drink glasses of the wine wines you like from the tasting.

      Hugo was such a great character, you would have mistaken him as a comedian. Perfect English and great wine knowledge, I had some questions and needed clarification which he provided me with perfect explanation and answers. Overall this trip gave us a very insight about the Medoc region as well as the winemaking processes and histories. One thing about these Guides, i find them incredible at multitasking when driving and having to explain about the tour at the same time with such clarity. Their English is impeccable too.

      We did a half day Medoc tour. Our tour guide was amazing and we had as much fun on the drive with her as we had once we arrived. She was very knowledgeable and friendly, and kept us entertained during the drive.

      The wineries we went to were well thought out to give a quick sampling of the kinds of wine from this region. The tour and wine tastings were excellent, and we enjoyed every stop.

      I would highly recommend taking a tour if you have half a day and would like a stress free way to explore the area and learn more about the local wines.

      The 2 plaxes we visited didn't impressed us. But I have to say that the 1st chateau. the host was extremely helpful and instructive. The wing we visited was made out of cement , as they had an helicopter pad . We didn't come to Medoc and it's vineries to see cement.. and the second tasting was extremely boring.. we felt rushed by our tour guide because she had another tour.. overall I wouldn't recommend it

      The tour guide, Emily was well versed and very friendly. She made each person feel welcomed and included.
      The vineyards were overrated. Ratings from 1855 mean little today. There are so many amazing wines out there to discover. I’d spend more time on the wines that are truly, “drinking wine with friends” versus 93 euro per bottle classification and that’s the low end of what was shared.

      We had a great experience in the Margaux region with Mathilde! She has a wealth of knowledge and provided a relaxed and humorous tour. She took us to two chateaux and made sure to stop at other beautiful locations in the area so we could take photos and take in the countryside. The wine was fabulous and the views breathtaking. This is a very special place in the world - a must when visiting Bordeaux!

      Be careful to read the description of both Medoc and Margaux tours because Margaux is in
      the Medoc region and tours can overlap

      Great guided tour. Our guide was friendly, interactive, and knowledgeable. Shared great
      general tips about Bordeaux and had a real passion for the region. Air conditioned van was
      very comfortable on a day where the temp was over 100 F. Chateau Prieure-Lichine.

      This tour is promoted as Medoc however we visited the Margaux region as well. Chateau
      Duazac is a beautiful place. Also visited Chateau Haut-Breton. Very nice tour with Rudolph
      as the guide.

      The tour started on time and it is easy to locate the meeting point. Karim was friendly, knowledgeable and a great tour driver. We visited two vineyards, first Chateau Marquis de Terme and second Chateau Siran. Overall a good experience however at Chateau Marquis de Terme the tour part lasted a bit long and was overly detailed. Both tastings were enjoyable in nice settings but for the price of the tour I'd expect a bit more wine or at least the option.

      I have attended many wine tours and this was by far the most informative one. Karim was a fountain of knowledge on all things wine, as well as the city of Bordeaux and an incredibly engaging and entertaining guide. The two chateaus were both beautiful and had amazing wines, as one would expect in Margeaux. I highly recommend any tour with Karim for local knowledge and a fun-filled day out.

      We took the 4 hour Médoc region tour and visited two wineries in Margaux, Chateau Marquis de Terme and Chateau Siran. Both wineries were fantastic and our Tour guide, Kamir, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Our winery guides, Sophie at the Château Marquis de Terme and Paul at the Château Sirent were very informative and happily answered all of our questions. I recommend the Ophorus team to anyone who wants to visit wineries in the Bordeaux regions

      An excellent tour of the Médoc region. Valentin was a fantastic guide who was passionate, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The wines that we tasted were incredible and Valentin clearly had a strong relationship with the guides at the winery, which made us feel comfortable and well received. Would recommend to anyone looking for great Bordeaux wines!

      Our tour guide, Valentin, was wonderful! He was so informative and made the experience very engaging and fun. We had the pleasure of having him guide us twice and would very highly recommend him as your guide! We visited Saint-Émilion and the Médoc region. Both were beautiful and the wines were excellent. You must visit when you’re in Bordeaux!

      Wonderful tour exploring the châteaus of Médoc while learning about the history of the area and the classification of the wines. The two châteaus visited were nice choices, with each pouring 2-3 nice size tastings. The wine in this region is excellent, as was our tour leader and driver, Justine.

      We did the half day tour to medoc region and visited two amazing chateaus in the Margaux wine region. Our guide Karim was amazing and had always the best attitude. During the trip he shared with us valuable information about the region and on the way back kept the whole group entertained making the whole experience amazing. Everything from the tour was amazing the wines were fantastic definitely recommend !

      Luigi, our guide, was well-versed in the Bordeaux wine area and gave us many insights about the history of the city as well as details about wine production. He had a sense of humor which was much appreciated too! We went to two chateaus and tried a total of 5 wines and bought a few bottles too! Great tour ☺️

      Kurzweiliger und informativer Nachmittag mit tollem Guide
      Nachdem wir im letzten Jahr bereits die St. Emilion Tour gemacht hatten, wollten wir diesmal die andere Seite kennenlernen, Medoc. Wir waren Corona bedingt nur eine kleine Gruppe von 4 Leuten und wir waren froh, das die Tour überhaupt statt gefunden hat. Zuvor hatte ich den Termin noch umlegen müssen und in dem Zuge einen sehr netten telefonischen Kontakt mit Nancy (auf Deutsch sogar).
      Das Verschieben hat auch ohne weiteres geklappt. Unser Guide war Karim, der sich sehr gut auskannte und uns eine Menge Infos über die Weinregion, ein bisschen Geschichte und die Chateaus erzählt hat. Wir haben 2 Chateaus besucht, wiederum sehr informativ und am Ende mit kleiner Weinprobe. Alles in allem ein gelungener Nachmittag und Karim der perfekte Guide. Die Chateaus sind allgemein etwas geizig mit ihrem Wein, das könnte bei den Proben etwas mehr sein :-)

      Im Vergleich zur St. Emilion würde ich für Einsteiger die St. Emilion Tour wählen, weil man da am Ende noch durch das hübsche Städtchen gehen kann. Alles in allem ein Must Do in Bordeaux!!

      Nous avons fait la visite de 2 caves guidés par Émilie notre charmante guide. Elle a rendue les visites très fraîches et ludiques! Nous avons vraiment adoré et nous recommandons vivement de partir découvrir les vins bordelais avec eux! En revanche, les caves sélectionnées avaient des guides plus ou moins sympathiques et la dégustation peut se faire que sur un nombre très restreint de vin.

      We took a day train to Bordeaux and this tour was perfect! Angie was our tour guide. She was very friendly, funny and super knowledgeable. What was also great was that we were the only couple who decided to go to Medoc because everyone usually goes to St. Emilion, so we basically had a private tour! It was beautiful driving through the countryside, and Angie took us to some other chateaus as well just to take pictures and give us some more history about the area. We visited Chateau Dauzac and Chateau Marquis de Terme. The staff at both were so friendly and inviting and the wine was delicious! Angie even offered to drive us back much closer to the train station since we ran into some traffic on the way back from the wineries and we had an earlier train to catch. We actually had to leave France early because of the coronavirus scare and the US issuing a travel ban, so this was basically the only thing we got to do in our short stay but it was very worth it. We will definitely do the full tour next time we come! Ask for Angie!!!

      Great tour and guide !
      We had a great tour of the Margaux appellation visiting Chateau Prieure Lichine and Chateau Lascombes. Our guide, Luigi, was brilliant.
      He was very warm and friendly and provided us with a great overview of wine production in the region in a fun and informative way. We got to try a few lovely grand crus too! The tour was the highlight of our trip to Bordeaux. Thanks Luigi!

      A fun day in Margaux

      To ensure we see the best of Bordeaux, we booked both half day trips to St Emilion and Medoc. The Medoc was definitely our favourite. We visited the appelation of Margaux (very famous!) and got to visit 2 large estates with a drive by Chateau Margaux!




      As it was our first time in Bordeaux we opted for the tours to help us navigate ourselves. Our tour guide, Emily, was lovely and well informed with quite a lot of local stories and anecdotes to share.
      We'd have liked exposure to a few more places to try (and buy) wine from Medoc but all in all a great way to see the area and experience a taste of Bordeaux wines.
