I was lucky to have Caroline as my guide for three days in a row on separate tours. The first was a day trip to Cassis—what a lovely experience! The second trip was to the Luberon villages, and the third was a full day visit to Chateauneuf-du-Papes. I really enjoyed each one of these visits—just the right amount of “guided tour” and “self exploration”.

Quick answers
Is there free time to explore the villages on our own?
Yes, after your guide’s introductions you generally have time in each village to wander, shop, take photos or enjoy a café at your own pace.
How much walking is involved and is it suitable for all fitness levels?
Expect moderate walking on cobbled streets, slopes and some uneven ground in the hilltop villages, so comfortable shoes are recommended; the tour may be challenging for travellers with significant mobility issues.
Is lunch included in the tour price?
Lunch is not included; you have free time to choose and pay for your own meal in one of the villages, often where there is a market or good restaurant choice.
Where is the meeting point in Aix‑en‑Provence?
Most tours offer pick‑up from central Aix‑en‑Provence locations such as hotels, recognised meeting points or the tourism office; exact details are confirmed with your booking.
How long does the tour last?
The experience usually lasts about 8 hours, including driving time between villages and free time at each stop.
Which villages do we visit on this tour?
A typical full‑day Luberon tour from Aix includes several villages such as Gordes, Roussillon or Lourmarin depending on timing and expectations.
