In the afternoon, you head to the southern part of the Alsace Wine Route to taste emblematic Grands Crus such as Steinert, Goldert, or Hatschbourg. This is where you discover the dry, intensely aromatic style of Alsace Muscat, marked by pure notes of fresh grape and blossom rather than sweetness.
You also sample superb Gewurztraminers from Hatschbourg: full-bodied wines with solid structure, rich texture, and a wide aromatic palette often including exotic fruit, rose, spice, and hints of liquorice.
