Honfleur, Beuvron & Calvados Tasting: Small-Group Tour from Caen
Depart on a small-group day tour from Caen to discover some of Normandy’s most charming sites. Meet your English-speaking driver-guide at your accommodation in Caen or nearby, review the day’s programme, then board a comfortable air-conditioned minivan and set off for Honfleur.
Guided Walking Tour of Honfleur
Enjoy a guided walking tour of Honfleur to see its main landmarks and soak up the atmosphere of this picturesque harbour town. Set on the Seine estuary near Le Havre and the spectacular Pont de Normandie bridge, Honfleur is famed for its historic centre and Vieux Bassin port and marina.
Wander cobbled streets lined with half-timbered houses around Sainte-Catherine Church, France’s largest wooden church with a double nave built by shipwrights, whose vaulting recalls an upturned boat hull. Honfleur also hosts several museums, including the Eugène Boudin Museum with works by Boudin, Courbet, Monet, Lebourg, Dufy and others.
Beuvron-en-Auge: One of France’s Most Beautiful Villages
After your visit and free time for lunch in Honfleur, continue towards Beuvron-en-Auge. Listed among “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France”, this postcard‑perfect Normandy village lies in the rolling countryside of the Pays d’Auge.
Once a stronghold of the d’Harcourt family and a stop on the Cider and Calvados routes, Beuvron-en-Auge charms with its half‑timbered houses, old covered market and surrounding manor houses. Enjoy free time to stroll its streets and take photos at your own pace.
Calvados Distillery Visit and Tasting
End the day at a family-run Calvados distillery in the heart of the Pays d’Auge. The estate cultivates more than 25 apple varieties across around 30 hectares of orchards, with both standard and cordon trees, producing renowned cider, Calvados and Pommeau.
After an introduction to the production and blending of these spirits, take part in a guided tasting of several local products (tasting fees not included). Following the visit, relax on the drive back to Caen, where your tour concludes.
