[shortDescription] => Discover the perched medieval village of St Paul de Vence and enjoy a wine tasting session in a family owned vineyard on this unique small group half day trip from Nice. Visit vineyards, taste delicious red wines of Provence.
[description] =>
Meet your English speaking local guide

Today, meet your English speaking tour guide who will go over the itinerary and program of the day with you. Then, board your comfortable premium air-conditioned vehicle and begin to make your way to delightful Saint Paul de Vence. Visit the village then head towards the Bellet wine region that is located close to Nice. Participate in a wine tasting session to find out about the local wines produced here.

Visit the village of Saint Paul de Vence

Saint Paul de Vence is one of the numerous perched villages that are located in the Provence hinterland mountain range. Sheltered behind its ramparts and filled with art galleries, boutiques and sidewalk cafes it is a popular destination of the French Riviera. The village of St-Paul dates back to the 11th century and it has kept its ramparts, guard’s way, canons and other such features.much to the delight of its visitors.

The village is also very famous because of the large number of celebrities, painters or film producers who have come to appreciate the local light, the calm, the sea and peacefulness of the area. The beautiful landscapes surrounding St-Paul having inspired many an artist and an enclave of art galleries and museums can be found around the quaint cobbled streets. Picasso, Matisse, Chagall or Renoir are just but a few of those that have come to take advantage of this small paradise on earth to devote some time for their art work.

On this small group tour from Nice, you will have time to explore this unique village and stroll through the narrow and picturesque streets from the Royale Gate to the Southern Gate to discover magnificent stone facades from the 16th and 17th centuries.

Provence wine tour in the Bellet Appellation

After the visit of St Paul de Vence, reach the Bellet wine region close to Nice. Located between 200 and 300m above sea level, on the slopes of the last foothills of the Alps, the Bellet appellation covers around 650 ha, 50h of which are in production. The vineyard is entirely located on the territory of the municipality of Nice, which is unique in France.

It enjoys a great amount of sunshine (2700 hours per year), beneficial rains (838 mm per year) and a microclimate due to the altitude and the winds (Mistral and Tramontane) blowing almost continuously in the Var valley.

The vines are rooted in narrow planks called “Restanques”, made up of rolled pebbles, mixed with a clear compact sand (“Poudingue”). These excellent conditions combined favor the expression and full maturity of the grapes in the harmony of the different wines of Nice.

There are only 10 wineries that still make wines today. They are certified or in the process of conversion to organic agriculture, most of the appellation having resolutely opted for sustainable agriculture.

The wines of the Bellet appellation

The appellation decree authorizes a certain number of grape varieties for the A.O.P. Bellet. For white wines: Rolle, a typical Mediterranean variety, and primary grape variety of white wines from the appellation (80 to 90%), and Chardonnay.

For red and rosé wines: Folle Noire (named for its very capricious yield from one year to another), Braquet (which is also the name of an old local family), Grenache and Cinsault.

Upon arrival, learn about this very confidential appellation that is little known even to the French. Most wineries being located over the city of Nice, have a stunning view over the French Riviera. After a short introduction of the history of the winery and the wine making process, it will be time to begin your commented wine tasting. Discover unusual grape varieties such as Rolle that is used for the white wines and Folle Noire (Crazy Black) or Braquet very local grapes used for red wines and rosé.

After the visit and wine tasting session, it will be time to make our way back to Nice and that will be the end of our services.

[description] =>
Meet your English speaking local guide

Today, we will come and pick you up at your Cruise Ship in Nice. Meet your English speaking tour guide who will go over the itinerary and program of the day with you. Then, board your premium A/C vehicle and begin your private tour. Start to make your way to French Riviera and the principality of Monaco.

Visit the village of Eze

Hanging over the Sea, the Medieval village of Eze has retained all its charms throughout the centuries. From the ruins of its medieval fortress to its charming, narrow streets, the small village now attracts a multitude of artisans and artists.

Established in what used to be barns or sheepfolds, they definitely contribute to the local ambiance of this peaceful area. Celebrated for the calm that can be found here, numerous writers have also decided to settle down here, one of the most famous being Nietzsche who it is said to have written Thus Spoke Zarathustra in Eze. Visit the village and then discover the Fragonard perfume factory.

Optional visit of a Perfume factory

The famous perfume company Fragonard was established in 1926 by Eugène Fuchs who named his company after the 18th c. French Painter and to pay homage to the town of Grass (the French capital of perfumes) for having greeted the famed painter and his family.

During the visit, discover the manufacturing secrets of the products on a guided tour: perfumes, soaps and cosmetics developed from the best raw materials using an expertise which combines traditional methods and modern techniques.

A bit of History about Monaco

Historically, Monaco was part of France, but in 1215, it became a colony of Genoa (Italy) through a land grant from Emperor Henry VI. The Grimaldi family settled in Monaco in 1297 and ancestors of the family have controlled the principality for over 715 years now.

In 1419, the Grimaldi family acquired Monaco from the French ruling family of Aragon. Monaco has since been under Spanish, Italian and Sardinian protection. In 1793, French revolutionary troops captured Monaco, keeping it until 1814, when the Grimaldi family returned to power. Today, Monaco is governed by a constitutional monarchy, but is a protectorate of France.

In 1949, Prince Rainier III ascended to the throne of Monaco and married the beautiful American actress, Grace Kelly in 1956. Prince Rainier III played an important role in bringing economic prosperity to the area and his wife played a large part in promoting the arts and bringing glamour to the small nation. Together, they had three children, Caroline, Albert and Stephanie.

Reach Monaco

After the visit of Eze, head towards Monaco and walk in the small streets of the old town. Your tour of Monaco will include the changing of the Guards that takes place just before midday (on the morning tour). [description] => Meet your English speaking local guide

Today, we will come and pick you up at the airport, train station, AirBnB, accommodation or hotel in Nice.

You will also have the possibility of visiting the Neo Romanesque Cathedral as well as the Memorial dedicated to Princess Grace & Rainier of Monaco.

End the tour in Monte Carlo

Finally, end the tour in Monte-Carlo. Here you will discover the famous Old Monte Carlo Casino, the Hotel de Paris and Café de Paris, the beautiful Gardens not forgetting the Deluxe Boutiques. Upon arrival or departure, you will also have the opportunity to drive on the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix race track. The drive back to Nice will also include the famous low coastal road.

[description] =>

[description] =>

You will also learn how the principality rose to international prominence during the reign of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly, becoming a symbol of elegance and prestige.

Explore Monaco-Ville and the glamour of Monte-Carlo

Walk through Monaco’s Old Town, where historic streets lead to the Prince’s Palace area and the Cathedral. When timing allows, witness the changing of the guard. Continue to Monte-Carlo to admire its iconic casino, grand Belle Époque architecture, manicured gardens, and luxury boutiques. Enjoy a drive along part of the famous Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix circuit.

Stop in glamorous Cannes

Between Monaco and Antibes, enjoy a stop in Cannes, internationally known for its film festival and refined seaside atmosphere. Walk along the Boulevard de la Croisette, lined with elegant hotels, sandy beaches, and luxury shops. Time permitting, explore the historic Le Suquet district for lovely views over the bay.

Art, history, and seaside charm in Antibes

Your final stop is Antibes, a town that blends Provençal character with artistic heritage. Explore the lively Old Town with its colorful market stalls and winding streets, then visit the Picasso Museum housed in the historic Château Grimaldi, where the artist once lived and worked.

Stroll along Port Vauban, one of Europe’s largest marinas, and admire impressive yachts against the backdrop of the old ramparts. If time allows, continue toward Cap d’Antibes for a quieter finale, with scenic coastal paths, Mediterranean views, and a peaceful natural setting.

A complete shared French Riviera experience

This shared full-day tour from Nice offers a well-paced and immersive introduction to the French Riviera, combining medieval villages, royal history, cinematic glamour, artistic landmarks, and spectacular coastal scenery.
